More About Us:

I have been around dogs for much of my life, cross-breeds from rehoming centres then German Shepherds whilst more latterly, the wonderful Bichon Frise.

German Shepherds I had 2 bitches, Gypsy Lady who was then succeeded by Tara before switching to smaller dogs, the Bichon Frise.

The most important time though has been since due to my involvement in the Dog Show scene with our Bichon Frise Show Team of 5 bitches and 1 dog which we show all around England, Wales and Scotland at major Championship Shows and more local Open Shows.

My professional involvement with dogs is however more recent and came about as a result of three influencing factors:

My decision to live my dream of working with animals in a professional capacity combined with the training and communication skills I have learnt over the last 20 or so years.
My wife being a professional dog groomer whom I am regularly called to assist with large or difficult clients.
A result of the Merseyside Police dog culling exercise back in 2007 where I felt many dogs lives were unneccesarily destroyed and as a result, I felt compelled to play a part in avoiding the same action here in the South-West by helping both dogs and their owners have a better understanding of the social expectations and responsibilities of dog ownership.

I am a qualified Professional Dog Training Instructor holding the National Dog Training Instructor Certificate (from CIDBT accredited to Middlesex University HE cert) and I am also an accredited member of the Canine & Feline Behaviour Association (CFBA) and, am now embarking (no pun!!), on my BA (Hons) degree in Canine Psychology and behaviour from Middlesex University.

We are constantly looking at ways to improve our current range of services whilst looking at introducing and developing new services, for you and your dog.

Paula and I are also on the commitee of the Bichon Frise Club of Great Britain as well as being Kennel Club Accredited Breeders of Bichon Frise.

I also occasionally assist voluntarily at a local animal rescue centre in addition to being a guest lecturer on canine behaviour at Bicton College in East Devon.
